Bouke is an experienced driver and instructor. He is able to adapt his teaching style depending on the students background, experience and needs, and makes you feel at ease while teaching you not only what is necessary for a successful exam but also extra skills that are very helpful for driving. Even though I was an experienced driver from another country, I still benefited a lot from Bouke's lessons and learned valuable information about driving in Europe and in the Netherlands and improved my practical skills.

Fortunately, I came across Bouke's YouTube channel. After watching just a few of his videos, I realised I was learning more from them than I had learned during my previous lessons. I decided to switch to Bouke and I never regretted this decision. What makes Bouke stand out is not only his knowledge and experience, but his talent for teaching. He has a highly personalized approach. He continuously evaluates your progress, continuously challenges you with new and interesting assignments, identifies your weaknesses, and then develops exactly the right strategy to help you overcome them. He never gives up: he simply looks for another way to explain, demonstrate, or practice the skill until it finally clicks. Every lesson has a purpose. You never feel that you are simply driving around the same routes and repeating the same exercises just to fill lesson hours. Instead, each lesson challenges you to become a better driver. He knows exactly when to push you out of your comfort zone so that real progress happens. And what makes Bouke truly different is that he doesn't teach driving as a series of rules, or exam tricks. He teaches "Tai Chi driving" - the way of thinking about driving that combines flow, safety, anticipation, and autonomy. With Bouke, driving becomes less about reacting to what is happening directly in front of you and more about seeing and being prepared for what is about to happen next 2 or 3 steps ahead. Read the traffic around you, observe further ahead, move with the traffic flow, and make calm, confident decisions. His passion for driving is truly infectious and his enthusiasm for teaching becomes a learning lesson in itself. You can see that he genuinely enjoys driving and helping his students succeed, and that enthusiasm creates a very stimulating learning environment. He is also simply such a pleasant person to spend time with. The atmosphere during lessons is friendly, yet he keeps you focused and fully engaged throughout. And he always has a memorable way of making important lessons stick. For example, one of his favourite sayings is: "Laat je de kaas niet van het brood eten." - "Don't let them eat the cheese off your bread." — his humorous but surprisingly effective way of teaching right-of-way rules and reminding you not to give up priority when it is rightfully yours. Another memorable saying was "kijken verder dan je neus lang is", teaching you to scan the road far ahead, anticipate and conceptualize how traffic situations are likely to develop, and think several steps in advance. It sounds simple, but it fundamentally changes the way you drive. Instead of constantly reacting to events, you learn to anticipate them, making your driving smoother and more dynamic (I could continue with many more such wise sayings but I don't want to spoil all of them in this review - they are best enjoyed in the car and on the road when they emerge naturally from the situation). People like Bouke are rare. He truly cares about his students succeeding. The level of dedication, energy, and thoughtfulness he invested in my development was remarkable. Bouke's lessons helped me acquire the skills needed for a driving licence. Yet, his lessons go beyond the needed skills, additionally, they gave me a sense of ease behind the wheel and a sense of enjoyment in calmly approaching and quickly solving challenging traffic situations and challenging driving flow. He transformed driving into something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to every day.

Een hele aardige, goeie en rustige instructeur. Hij legt alles haarfijn uit en vindt het niet erg om dingen een paar keer te herhalen. Ook als je zelf al lang bij iemand anders heb gelest en even wat anders wil, kan je ook bij deze man terecht. Gewoon een second opinion

Na 2x gezakt te zijn bij een andere rijschool, ben ik uiteindelijk bij Bouke gaan lessen en wat een verschil zeg!! Hij geeft les met een enorme rust en duidelijke communicatie. Binnen no time geslaagd! Thanks Bouke :)

I highly recommend Bouke. From the first lesson he created a calm, supportive, and professional environment that helped me refine my driving abilities in the Netherlands. He is patient and always took the time to explain things clearly and thoroughly. Each lesson felt like a step forward-not just in skill, bit in confidence. Thanks to his guidance I passed the test-and even more importantly, I am now confident behind the wheel. This was more than learning (and in my case re-learning how to drive after 15 years of not driving regularly), it was about overcoming self-doubt, and I couldn't have done it without such a supportive and skilled instructor. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares, look no further.

Overgestapt naar deze rijschool na al heel lang ergens anders gelest te hebben. Ik dacht dat ik het nooit zou leren, maar Bouke legt alles super helder uit! Elke les is uitdagend en leerzaam (en gezellig!). Dankzij Bouke ben ik geslaagd voor mijn examen en voel ik me zelfverzekerd achter het stuur!
